The city’s environmental hygiene task force held a beach clean-up during the weekend at Cheoc Van Beach, following a similar event at Hac Sá on July 12. Around 30 participants from government departments, NGOs, and institutions took part, collecting and sorting waste for recycling. The Marine and Water Bureau also removed floating trash at sea. Between January and July 26, over 740 tonnes of trash were cleared from beaches and waters. More campaigns are planned to boost public awareness and coastal cleanliness.
