2051315_Wynn-Employees- NepalWynn Resorts (Macau) yesterday donated MOP1 million to the Macau Red Cross in support of the charity’s emergency assistance and relief efforts in Nepal.
According to a press release, the donation “is a combination of individual contributions from employees, matched by the company.”
Wynn Macau stressed that the amount donated is “very significant” and was achieved in a short period of time.
The MOP1 million cheque was presented to Ms Chiang Sao Meng, Vice President of the Central Council of the Macau Red Cross, by Ms Linda Chen, CEO of Wynn  Resorts (Macau).
“We are deeply saddened by the disaster. Some of our Wynn family members have been personally affected by the earthquake and we wish to support them in every way possible in their time of need. We offer our sincere condolences to all those affected and hope the donation can go far in helping people in Nepal rebuild their lives and communities,” said Ms Chen.
Wynn Macau has also partnered with Clean the World, a non-
profit soap-recycling organization, to donate 1,000 personal hygiene kits for the quake victims. The kits include necessities like shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, recycled soap, tooth-
brushes, toothpaste, towels, razors and message cards carrying heartfelt wishes. Wynn Macau’s volunteer team, WE Volunteer, joined the Clean the World team from Hong Kong to pack the personal hygiene kits, which will be shipped to Nepal by Clean the World.
