Wynn is hosting the first-ever Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards from March 1 to March 5 at Wynn Palace, with the results to be announced on April 13.
Through the inaugural awards event in March, Wynn’s goal is to “present the very best of Chinese wines and continue elevating Macau’s status as a UNESCO-designated ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’,” the firm said in a statement.
Wineries entering the competition will compete for the Wynn Signature Best Wine of China Trophy and 27 other category trophies that champion the excellence of major varietal expressions and regionality.
The judging process will be conducted blind and under the international 100-point system whereby medals will be allocated to wines based on a tiered scoring system.
Award-winning wines will not only receive the “Wynn Signature Award” label, but will also be invited to showcase at national masterclasses, industry and consumer tastings, media tastings, and major banquets.
