A-Mei to bring world tour to Macau
“aMEI ASMR 2023 World Tour – Macau” will be staged at Cotai Arena on Sept. 16, the gaming operator has announced in a statement. Iconic Asian pop powerhouse Chang Hui Mei, also known as A-Mei, will make a return to The Venetian Macao after seven years for a night of entertainment.
A-Mei’s eighth solo concert tour, aMEI ASMR 2023 World Tour has been on the road for over a year now. Previous ASMR concerts in Taipei and Kaohsiung from 2022 to 2023 set new records for “greatest number of performances, largest audience numbers, and highest grossing concert by a solo singer in Taiwan within one year.”
As the most famous Asian pop diva since the mid-90s, A-Mei is an influential figure in the Chinese-language music scene. She has sold approximately 55 million albums and held more than 300 solo concerts and world tours, performing for more than seven million concert-goers, making her the record holder for the most album sales of any Chinese-language female singer.
