Adjustment to bus routes triggered by LRT work

Traffic diversions began Saturday near the Portas do Cerco Border Post due to preliminary construction for the Light Rail East Line’s ES1 Station access road, Authorities announced Jan. 22. Vehicles entering the border must turn left onto Avenida Norte do Hipódromo, with right turns prohibited. Bus stops “Praça das Portas do Cerco” and “Zona P/ Passageiros–Este P. do Cerco” have been merged at the former UTIP near the Barrier Gate, now featuring benches, fans, and protective pillars. Affected routes include 3AX, 25AX, 27, 30X, 51, 51X, 59, AP1, AP1X, 3A, 17S, 25, 51A, and 61.
