1-T-2-AEMC-2016-2The three-day Asia Emergency Management Conference 2016 (AEMC) kicked off yesterday at The Venetian with the theme “Prepare for Tomorrow, Today.”
Thirty-three international speakers from over 16 countries and regions will hold seminars and panel sessions throughout the event. Three workshops, which start today, aim to allow attendees to gain practical insights that can directly be put into action in crisis management, event security and social media crisis communications.
Wilson Tong, fairs director of Vertical Exhibition Services Co., Ltd claims that AEMC offers the ideal platform to meet with experts in the emergency management industry from across the globe.
“The theme includes four areas,” Tong told the Times. “Prepare, prevent, respond and recover. […] We need to take precautions, we need to plan and assess, as this will help us respond faster and recover better.”
The conference also involves networking activities and an expo featuring consulting companies and businesses showcasing emergency response kits and products.
