Border restrictions for cross-border travelers imposed until Oct. 31

From October 9 to October 31, Zhuhai-Macau travelers crossing Gongbei Port, Qingmao Port and Wangzai Port can only take one round trip a day, following the discovery of cases in the neighboring region.

There is no limitation on crossings from Hengqin Port and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port.

As for tour groups, they are required to cross from Hengqin Port and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port.

Meanwhile, certain groups are exempted from the policy and will be registered by name on lists for customs management. These include cross-boundary truck drivers, cross-boundary students and their parents (limited to one), officials with urgent tasks, medical staff caring for patients in a serious or critical condition and staff of funeral parlors.

The interim measures will be adjusted according to the latest epidemic situation.

The Zhuhai Health Bureau reported that up to October 9, Zhuhai added two new confirmed Covid-19 cases and three new asymptomatic cases.

The Macau government has called on civil servants, school staff and cross-border students returning to Macau from Shenzhen or places outside Guangdong province to undergo two SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid tests, 24 hours apart, within three days from the day of their return. LV
