Briefs | New Mozambique delegate at Forum Macau

Mozambique has a new delegate to the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries (Forum Macau), as revealed in a press release. Francisca António Torcida Reino has been appointed delegate to Forum Macau, replacing Esmeralda Matias Patrício. The new delegate, who took office on Monday, started working for Mozambican’s Ministry for Industry and Commerce in 1996 at the International Relations bureau. In 2011, she was appointed head of the Bilateral Cooperation and International Forums division wihtin the same bureau.

DSAL opens new professional training center

FOTO COLUNAThe Labor Affairs Bureau (DSAL) is opening a new professional training center close to the Border Gate area, mainly addressing the needs of carpenters and decoration professionals. The center opens to the public next Tuesday. The 1500-square-meter area comprises a waiting room, classrooms for carpenters and decoration professionals’ training courses, and a multifunctional hall. “This is an ideal place to organize diverse training courses, using well-equipped facilities, thus serving the purpose of furthering the public’s vocational training,” DSAL said in a statement. The center will also provide to Macau citizens further information on training programs, and citizens may also register for the courses and technical exams there.
