CE leads delegation to attend CPC celebration

 

Chief Executive (CE) Ho Iat Seng will visit Beijing from today until July 1, having been invited to attend celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Members of the SAR Government delegation to the capital will include: the Secretary for Security Wong Sio Chak; the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Ao Ieong U; and the Chief-of-Office of the Chief Executive’s Office Hoi Lai Fong. During Ho’s absence, the Secretary for Administration and Justice, Cheong Weng Chon, will take the role as Acting CE.

Radio Taxi loses MOP5m last year

The Macau Radio Taxi recorded a loss of MOP5.17 million last year, despite a total income from operational revenue and other sources of MOP192 million. Despite this financial predicament, company representatives affirmed that reforms are in progress. The management is working to turn losses into profits by the end of the year. The taxi company started operations on April 1, 2017 and now enjoys the license to operate 200 taxis. All vehicles used by the company are seven-seaters of medium to large sizes. It also operates several wheelchair-accessible taxis.
