Sands China Ltd congratulated 750 team members on Monday and Tuesday, presenting them with awards for having reached their ten-year anniversaries with the company. The company says that most of the 750 team members who are celebrating a decade with Sands China are Macau locals, with some 235 of them currently serving in managerial roles.
More than 2,500 employees have so far been with the gaming operator for more than ten years, representing a total of 11 percent of Sands China’s existing workforce. “Our success is founded on the dedication and excellence of amazing team members like you, who have helped this great company reach higher heights year after year,” said the newly-inaugurated president of Sands China, Wilfred Wong.
Sands China offers its employees a number of training programs and professional opportunities, such as the Sands China Academy – a platform that seeks to improve the training of Macau locals at the company and with the company’s partners.

At an event marking the launch, Pansy Ho, co-chairperson and executive director of MGM China Holdings, thanked the company’s employees “for actively participating in a range of community programs for the past eight years” and for serving those in need.
studio city to recreate nyc on new year’s eve
Melco Crown Entertainment’s Studio City casino resort will host a New York City (NYC)-themed New Year celebration from 10 p.m. on December 31 to usher in 2016. The event will feature New York-themed culinary treats, unique shopping experiences and a spectacular snowfall and virtual fireworks show.
The night will culminate in a countdown for the 150-meter descent of a mirror ball. To complement the countdown event, which is free of charge, Studio City is offering special one-night accommodation packages at the resort, which will permit guests to gain VIP access to the celebration.
