AirAsia is introducing direct flights from Krabi to Hong Kong and Macau at special promotional fares in celebration of its 10th  year of flying to Hong Kong.

The new Krabi-Macau route will commence on Dec. 1, with promotional fares starting from HKD210.  The flights will take place four times a week, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (the Krabi-Macau connection departs at 9 a.m. from Thailand and arrives at the Macau International Airport at 1.25 p.m.; thereafter it departs from Macau at 1.50 p.m.).

AirAsia Group began flying to Hong Kong in May 2008, with its first route Kuala Lumpur-Hong Kong operating seven times a week.

Celia Lao, CEO of AirAsia Hong Kong and Macau, said that 10 years ago AirAsia pioneered low cost flights to Hong Kong and has grown steadily ever since to now operate flights to seven destinations in ASEAN, with more to be added.

“Apart from celebrating our 10th anniversary in Hong Kong this year, we also received the World’s Best Low Cost Airline Award for a 10th year in a row.  We could not have achieved any of this without the support of our passengers, state agencies and the private partners who have worked with us for the past decade,” she said.

Four seasons announces
line-up of events

Four Seasons Hotel Macao announced the line-up for the “Taste of Artistry” series to take place at end of this month and in November.

The hotel announced in a statement that its team of experts has prepared a series of six experiences, including two highlight epicurean events that feature Italian guest chef Aniello Turco of Mio of Four Seasons Hotel Beijing, and guest bartender Taeeun Yoon of Charles H. (No. 21 of Asia’s 50 Best Bars) of Four Seasons Hotel Seoul.

Restaurant Zi Yat Heen will present an eight-course menu, featuring contemporary Cantonese favorites, matched with Italian classics on Nov. 17, collaborating with chef Turco and Michelin-starred chef Charles Cheung of the restaurant.

Meanwhile on Oct. 27, the hotel will host a Halloween party at its pool deck and “Cocktails for a Cause” on Nov. 9, where proceeds will be donated to its annual Run of Hope Macau charity event to aid cancer research and local orphanages.
