Corporate Bits | Armani to headline Sands Macao fashion week

Emporio Armani, in collaboration with the Rainbow Group, will be the headline brand for Sands Macao Fashion Week, which will be held from October 18 to 24.

Emporio Armani will showcase its Fall/Winter 2018 collection at an invitation-only gala event on October 18.

According to a joint statement, the show will feature up to 60 looks from the brand’s “see now, buy now,” ready-to- wear collections.

Guests will be able to see the latest collections from a range of stores at a series of runway events at the Shoppes at Venetian on a catwalk over the Grand Canal itself on October 19 to 21.

The first Walk on Water show will feature local designer Nuno Lopes’ debut Spring/Summer 2019 collection. the first local fashion designer to be featured in Vogue magazine and participate in London Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, 10 local fashion brands will showcase their new collections at the closing show.

GTEF holds roadshow in Guangzhou

The Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF) continued its China roadshow and promoted the forum at the 2018 China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo (CITIE 2018) in Guangzhou from September 7 to 9.

GTEF also presented its 2018 event, including its Official Partner capacity for the 2018 EU-China Tourism Year, with EU as the Partner Region, and Guangdong Province as the Featured Chinese Province with a special focus on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-
Macau Greater Bay Area, the forum noted in a statement.

GTEF 2018 will be held at MGM Cotai on October 23 and 24, with the theme “Strategic Partnership in a New Era, Rising Momentum for a Shared Future.”

GTEF 2018 will explore the collective efforts between EU, the second-most popular destination for outbound Chinese tourists outside Asia, and the Greater Bay Area in Guangdong Province.
