Integrated-Resort-Career-Development-Program_2new sands china career development program popular with staff

More than 1,000 Sands China team members have shown interest in the company’s new Integrated Resort Career Development Program, with nearly 400 now participating in the first phase of the recently launched program. The initiative was announced in May, and team members have shown a keen interest in taking advantage of the opportunity it provides.
Participating staff are gaining experience working in several non-gaming departments throughout the company’s integrated resorts, via voluntary six-month assignments. The program kicked off June 15, with close to 200 team members now working with the hotel operations team, in front office, public areas, concierge, recreation, housekeeping, guest services and retail. Another 60 have started working with the entertainment team, and over 100 will begin working with the food and beverage department later this month.
Another batch will soon begin taking their posts for the second phase of the program in July, with opportunities to work in departments including finance, convention and exhibition, facilities, information technology and others.

As a company with deep roots in Macau, Melco Crown Entertainment has been dedicated to developing local talents. With its business partner Dragone, the company organized a new backstage journey at The House of Dancing Water to showcase non-gaming career opportunities to attract local talents to join the HKD2 billion show in Macau.
Over 80 educators from local universities and educational institutes, as well as representatives of labor unions, were invited to the backstage journey for an encounter with the production and the backstage secrets of the show. Through this, Melco aims to introduce to the local educational community the extensive career choices the spectacle provides to local people, and inspire insights on the curriculum preparation to meet the demands of Macau’s creative and entertainment industry.
