Corporate Bits | GEG holds mooncake donation, lantern-making activity

Galaxy Entertainment Group held a mooncake donation activity and organized volunteers to make lanterns with members of the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau (AFEDMM) in the hope of sharing the festive joy throughout Macau.

Maintaining the tradition of gifting mooncakes to team members during Mid-Autumn Festival, GEG gave away 20,000 boxes of Asian Heart mooncakes. GEG would like to wish team members and their families a happy Mid-Autumn Festival.

“Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the traditional Chinese festivals [and] GEG, as a Chinese-owned enterprise, values Chinese traditions,” said Buddy Lam, senior vice president of public relations. “Mid-Autumn Festival is a time to express blessings. Therefore, GEG would like to deliver the best festive wishes to the Macau community by giving out mooncakes and making lanterns with the members of AFEDMM. Moving forward, GEG will expand its range of community services to continue spreading love and care across Macau.”

CEM delegates participate in CEPSI to explore development of power industry

An eight-member delegation of Companhia de Electricidade de Macau (CEM) attended the 22th Conference of the Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI 2018), which was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in Malaysia last week.

Being an important event for the power industry in Asia, CEPSI is organized biennially by the Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and the Western Pacific, as well as member countries or regions by turns.

CEPSI aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation for the power industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

Over 1,500 power-related delegates from more than 30 countries attended this year’s conference, including corporate executives, analysts, consultants, engineers, industry professionals and government officials etc., to discuss and exchange views on the hot topics of global concern such as digitalization, smart future, Big Data, sustainability and energy trilemma.
