Corporate Bits | Hong Kong singer G.E.M to return to the Cotai arena

Hong Kong singer-songwriter G.E.M. will return to The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena on March 9 with her “G.E.M. Queen of Hearts World Tour Concert in Macau.”

The local concert will be staged by Moment Factory,one of the leading production companies, which has worked with singer Ed Sheeran, rock band Muse and other international superstars, according to a statement provided by Sands China.

Kevin Maher, who has worked on routines with Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj and Britney Spears, will provide choreography for the Macau show.

Renowned for her powerful voice and emotive delivery, G.E.M.’s ability to reproduce her records live has earned her the nickname the “Living CD”.

For her latest tour, she will introduce new songs, and promises to bring the audience into “her inner world, experiencing a journey of love and encouraging her fans to freely express and embrace love.”

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at all Cotai Ticketing box offices.

Melco holds talk on china’s culture, policies

Melco Resorts & Entertainment hosted the “Splendors of China” series yesterday, a program about mainland China’s culture, economic policies and social systems and values. 

According to the gaming operator, the event is part of the “Whole Person Development” to strengthen the knowledge and capabilities beyond technical skills.

Melco invited Dr. Zhu Andong from Tsinghua University, lectured on China’s economic opportunities, challenges and future development trajectory.

Almost 800 management and non-management colleagues attended, including some community members. Lawrence Ho, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “the Splendors of China program is very important to our company. We want our colleagues to have pride in their Chinese heritage, to have a deeper understanding of China’s culture and history.  We will continue to provide more programs.”
