R_IMG_8584Oh Sang-jin, host of the South Korean hit dance reality show “Dancing 9,” along with Lee Yong-woo and Kim Su-ro, two dance masters were in town March 8-10 to film the first elimination round for Season 3 of the show. They arrived at the Main Lobby of The Venetian Macao and were greeted by Venetian dancers who gave their Blue Eye and Red Wings teams a dance challenge. The winning team was rewarded with refreshments in a suite. The group also enjoyed dining on the terrace and at Spirito Bar at Italian restaurant Portofino. Finally, they gave their bodies a rest at Conrad Macao’s Bodhi Spa with body and foot massages.
The challenge was to perform a dance sequence at destinations across The Venetian Macao, including the Grand Canal, St. Mark’s Square, on a gondola ride and at the Grado Golf course. The guest judges watched on a big screen at Bellini Lounge and made their decision. Oh Sang-jin announced the winning team at The Venetian Macao’s outdoor Lagoon. The episode featuring The Venetian Macao was scheduled to air last Friday, April 10.

V Air launches Macau-Taipei route

IMG_7766V Air, an original Taiwanese-style budget carrier, launched a new route Friday between Macau and Taipei. To celebrate the inauguration, V Air’s mascot V Bear showed up at the departure lounge and interacted with passengers. The celebration also extends to in-flight services with a new menu released; passengers can also win V Bear merchandise from duty-free shopping onboard.
V Air’s CEO, Ms Eleni Lung, arrived in Macau to host the inauguration ceremony. She commented: “V Air has served over 50,000 passengers since it took to the skies in December 2014. The carrier has been receiving compliments on its cordial Taiwanese service style. Macau is V Air’s 3rd regular flight; we are thrilled that V Air now can deliver such service to the Macau market.”
The Director of Marketing at Macau International Airport Co. Ltd., Mr. Fong, welcomed V Air’s first touchdown at the gate. “Congratulations to V Air’s successful inauguration, the new service will certainly offer much more choice in visiting Taiwan”, Mr. Fong said.
The initial schedule for the Taipei-Macau route offers round-trip services every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
