The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) has issued a warning noting that air quality in Macau will be poor today. The warning, issued yesterday evening, noted air quality indexes (AQI) between 75 and 110, classified under “Moderate – Bad.” The bureau also advised sensitive population groups (people with heart or respiratory illnesses, pregnant women, children, and the elderly) to limit strenuous outdoor activity and keep outdoor stays as short as possible. The warning applies to the whole territory, but SMG noted that Taipa Grande would have the worst air quality. Areas with heavy traffic are particularly highlighted as places to avoid.
