Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (MCE) yesterday announced that fully equipped lactation rooms for employees have been launched across the company’s four premises in Macau in order to assist nursing mothers who are returning to work.
The properties with available lactation rooms are City of Dreams, Studio City, Altira Macau and the Company’s office at Flower City.
Located in the “Heart of Houses” of the integrated resorts and corporate office, the lactation rooms are designed to provide a relaxing ambience, complete with warm lighting, MCE wrote in a statement.
Each lactation room is equipped with lounge chairs, a water source nearby with facilities for cleaning breast pumping equipment, and a refrigerator for storing breast milk.
As cited in the statement, Melco Crown’s properties also offer its nursing mothers flexible break-times in which to use the facilities that will now be provided. MCE added that its properties aim to provide support for nursing mothers to return to work within a rather short time after giving birth.

MGM Macau will present two new dinning selections – freshly picked mushrooms from China’s Yunnan Province, and a buffet of Southeast Asian dishes this August, according to a statement from the gaming operator.
The resort’s Imperial Court is introducing a “nutritious” Yunnan wild mushroom menu throughout August. Highlighted dishes include braised morel mushrooms and string bean stuffed with dace fish paste, simmered chanterelle mushrooms with Yunnan ham and baby cabbage in superior bouillon, and wok-fried cubes of prime beef with garlic and red porcini, among others.
For each weekend this month, Rossio is presenting a “Southeast Asian Dinner Buffet” that showcases the very best dishes from Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore.
Using authentic ingredients and cooking techniques, the culinary team highlights a wide array of dishes packed with exotic flavors which includes stir-fried green crab with Thai curry, tom yum gung, and Malaysian bak kut teh soup, and many more. The restaurant will also offer its signature fresh seafood bar and dessert corner.
