Sands China and Macau productivity and technology transfer center hold uniform design competition

Judging Day_1Sands China Ltd. and the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) have come together to hold the Sands China Sports Uniform Design Competition in support of the local fashion and creative industries. After judging and deliberation by industry professionals and Sands China executives, the winners were finally chosen last week and will be announced at a prize presentation ceremony March 17 at The Venetian Macao.
The competition is aimed at up-and-coming fashion designers and fashion design students, with the goal of creating designs for nine different sports and activities that Sands China team members participate in: football, basketball, table tennis, running, badminton, bowling, dragon boat racing, cheerleading, and the Walk for a Million event. Based on four criteria – creativity and originality, practicality and wearability, compatibility with Sands China’s corporate image, and overall aesthetic appeal – the judges were tasked with picking just one overall winner from among the entries.
With one winner and five merit awards being handed out, all awardees will receive a cash prize and a certificate. A total of 13 designs across the nine sports and event categories will be adopted by Sands China and used throughout 2015, providing a platform for the winner to showcase their talents to the public.
