01Beer, bratwurst and Bavarian beats from Munich are coming to Macau during the 7th annual Oktoberfest between October 15 and 25 at The Vista II of MGM Macau, and MGM has launched several German-themed dining offers this month.
Highlighting German cuisine, Rossio presents a German theme dinner buffet including German pork knuckle, Roasted sausages, Bavarian roasted pork, Mustard Spaetzle, Wiener Schnitzel and German dumplings in beef broth.
Prepared by Executive Pastry Chef Holger Deh and served at the Pastry Bar and Grande Praça Café, the Bavarian Afternoon Tea Set includes traditional items like Bavarian cream with dark beer jelly, Hamburg-style berry compote, Black forest cake, plus German sausage salad with pretzels and other miniature savory dishes.
Another German favorite, Berliner doughnuts are on sale at the Grande Praça in a wide range of flavors including vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, apricot and kalamansi.
Finally, Imperial Court and Grand Imperial Court restaurants are recommending an array of German Rieslings to pair with signature Chinese dishes.

Sands China honors top six Sands China care ambassadors

image001Sands China Ltd. honored six Sands China Care Ambassadors last Thursday at a ceremony at The Venetian Macao for their dedication to community volunteer work.
“Our company established the Sands China Care Ambassador program in 2009 to encourage community outreach,” said Grant Chum, chief of staff for Sands China Ltd. “Being a firm believer in the importance of serving the community, I am happy to announce that our team members have been engaged in over 1,900 volunteer hours and 17 activities over the last 12 months, and I am glad that we are able to extend our care to the less privileged in the community.”
Each of the six Care Ambassadors received a gift from the company as a token of appreciation, along with a framed certificate signed by Chum.
“Volunteering is a reward in itself,” said Leong Ka Hou. “I feel privileged to work side-by-side with some really dedicated team members at the many Sands China Care Ambassador activities throughout the year. We always say that we receive just as much benefit – if not more – from serving our fellow community members as they do from our service. On top of all of that, it’s wonderful to know that the company also appreciates the importance of the SCCA program.”
