Sands China expands disaster preparedness programme with Macau Red Cross

Sands China has expanded its disaster preparedness education efforts through the Sands Cares Disaster Preparation & Emergency Response Kit Programme, continuing its collaboration with the Macau Red Cross for the eighth consecutive year.
The programme includes emergency kit distribution, disaster preparedness workshops, and educational activities aimed at improving the community’s awareness and response capabilities during emergencies.
This year, Sands China’s community volunteers assembled and distributed 1,500 emergency kits to four local schools, where workshops were held to teach students about disaster preparedness and evacuation procedures. The kits were also enhanced with fire evacuation masks to support household emergency readiness.
In addition, Sands China organized a disaster preparedness workshop for its employees to strengthen their ability to respond to emergencies.
Co-organized since 2019 and supported by the Social Welfare Bureau and the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the programme has reached nearly 9,000 households through community and school initiatives.
