Sands China Ltd. announced financial results for the third quarter of 2014 yesterday, reporting increases in two key performance indicators: adjusted EBITDA and profit.
Adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter of 2014 increased 3.3 per cent to USD811.0 million (HK$6,297.5 million), compared to US$784.8 million (HK$6,085.9 million) for the same quarter 2013. Profit for the quarter increased 3.9 per cent to US$643.1 million (HK$4,993.7 million) for the third quarter of 2014, compared to US$618.7 million (HK$4,797.8 million) for the third quarter of 2013. Total net revenues decreased 0.2 per cent to US$2,319.4 million (HK$18,010.4 million) for the third quarter of 2014, compared to US$2,324.4 million (HK$18,025.0 million) for the third quarter of 2013.

Conrad Macao celebrates third annual Hilton worldwide global week of service

In celebration of Hilton Worldwide’s third annual Global Week of Service, October 19 – 25, more than 50 volunteers from Conrad Macao, Cotai Central visited the local Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Macau on Sunday 19 October to offer some inspiration and support to teenagers in need.
“It is very important that we support our local community and to be able provide some guidance to the next generation in order for them to reach their full potential is fundamental to Hilton’s Travel with Purpose philosophy,” said Bede Barry, general manager, Conrad Macao.  “If we can inspire just one of the teenagers to live their best life then we have made an impact.”

Jumeirah Group announces three new hotels in China

Jumeirah Group, the global luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced three new management agreements to operate luxury hotels and resorts across China.
The Jumeirah Haikou Resort is set in a golf community on a private island in Hainan; the Jumeirah Wuhan has a prime city center location near to Hankou; and Jumeirah Nanjing is set in the Hexi new business district. With the addition of Haikou, Wuhan and Nanjing, Jumeirah now has a pipeline of eight properties in China including hotel developments in Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Sanya, Macau and Qiandaohu.
Gerald Lawless, President and CEO of Jumeirah Group, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our portfolio of hotels and resorts in China, which is a significant market for Jumeirah. We are honored to have been asked to operate these three new hotels in key cities, bringing our pipeline of new properties in China to eight, in addition to Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel in Shanghai, which has been operating successfully since 2011.”
