Cristiano Ronaldo arrives in Hong Kong for Saudi Super Cup matches

Football fans in Hong Kong are in for a treat, as global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in the city yesterday with his Saudi Pro League club, Al-Nassr, ahead of the Saudi Super Cup matches at Hong Kong Stadium, The Standard reported.
A crowd gathered at the Regent Hong Kong hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui were rewarded shortly before 3 p.m. yesterday when Ronaldo – who last month opened a museum in Hong Kong – arrived with his teammates from Saudi club Al-Nassr on their team bus.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was spotted with his team in official club social media posts after Al-Nassr landed in Hong Kong today to prepare for their semifinal clash against Al-Ittihad on Tuesday (Aug 19).
The winner will advance to the final on Saturday (Aug 23).
Ronaldo’s presence guarantees a major spectacle for local fans, who will get the rare chance to see the Portuguese legend play live.
Also among the squad is João Félix, the former Chelsea forward who joined Al-Nassr this summer.
The matches mark another high-profile football event in Hong Kong, The Standard remarked.
