The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) Zhuhai port has seen cumulative passenger traffic exceed 100 million since opening. According to the port, it took over five years to reach the first 50 million travelers, but only one year and eight months to hit the second 50 million. Last year alone, 31.34 million passengers crossed, more than 1.4 times the 2019 figure. Macau and Hong Kong residents accounted for nearly 58.7% of total traffic, with almost 18 million crossings last year, nearly triple 2019 levels. Over 8.4 million Hong Kong and Macau single-plate vehicles have traveled northbound, while southbound Guangdong private cars topped 800 registrations.
