Police said a local man lost over MOP98,000 after allegedly falling victim to a fake “public security, procuratorate and court” phone scam. The Judiciary Police Anti-Fraud Coordination Center received intelligence Tuesday afternoon and failed to reach the victim before visiting his home, where it was confirmed he had been deceived. Separately, a local woman reported suspected credit card fraud, losing about MOP14,000, saying she had not lost or lent her card and had only used it for online shopping respectively.
