The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) has partnered with Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) to launch the “GEG Elite Development Programme (Hotel Operations)”, a 30-month initiative designed to help local residents advance their careers through an innovative “hire first then train” model. Online applications open today and will run until April 20.
The program offers 25 vacancies, including 15 front desk agent positions and 10 butler service agent positions.
Selected candidates will receive professional training alongside on-the-job practice, covering areas such as technical skills, English conversation through the Cambridge Linguaskill framework, elementary and intermediate management courses, and Forbes Service Standards workshops.
Participants will also have opportunities to obtain certifications, including National Tea Master qualifications, Macau Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORS), and Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) level one and two wine certification.
Upon completing the training and passing assessments, top-performing employees may be promoted. Front desk agents can advance to front desk assistant manager, while butler service agents can move up to butler service assistant manager, with corresponding salary adjustments.
After the application period closes, GEG will invite eligible candidates to an information session on April 22, followed by interviews. Detailed career development pathways will be explained at the session.
For more information, interested parties can visit the DSAL’s dedicated webpage, contact the bureau’s employment department, or the Galaxy Career Development Center during office hours.
