DSAT to review bus network and services amid changing demand

The Transport Bureau said it will adjust and optimize bus routes and stop names in line with social development and changing passenger travel habits. It added that it will work with the two bus operators during contract negotiations to explore future service directions, including route planning, performance evaluation, company management, financial support, and passenger demand. In response to a written inquiry from lawmaker Ngan Iek Hang on bus services in the New Urban Zone A, the bureau said it will continue to improve public bus services according to community development needs and road and traffic conditions, subject to available resources.
