Embraer increases aircraft sales

Brazilian aeronautical company Embraer delivered 29 executive jets in the second quarter of the year, or 7 more airplanes than in the same period of 2013, which allowed the company to increase net revenues by 21 percent.
Embraer posted a net profit of 319.8 million reals in the period from April to June 2014 compared to  9.9 million reals in the same period of 2013. Sales totaled 3.9 billion reals in the second quarter of the year. Sales of commercial aircraft accounted for 55.2 percent of total revenues, sales of executive jets accounted for 23.9 percent of the total and deliveries of military jets accounted for 20.3 percent.

Cape Verde National Stadium built with China support

The Cape Verde (Cabo Verde) National Stadium, in Monte Vaca on the outskirts of São Filipe, in the city of Praia, built using funding from China is due to be inaugurated soon, according to Cape Verdean news agency Inforpress. With a capacity of 15,000 people, of which 5,000 can be accommodated under cover, the National Stadium cost US$50 million and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister José Maria Neves. The Stadium has artificial lighting and 80 cameras able to film events from 300 to 500 meters away.
