To mark the 30th anniversary of the Macao International Music Festival, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) will host the “Macao International Music Festival Forum”, themed “Music and Arts Festival as Drivers of a City’s Cultural Development”, on September 30 and October 1.
The two-day forum will feature a number of sessions with themes ranging from city branding, programming and audience development to cultural tourism and Internet marketing. The sessions will explore the links between music and art festivals and urban cultural development across several regions.
Several prominent practitioners from surrounding regions and further abroad were invited to conduct the talks. The speakers hail from Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, among other regions.
Admission to the forum is free and all are welcome to register. Seats are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The IC has also invited industry practitioners and members to register.  Staff reporter
