Grand Coloane Resort marked the Year of the Horse with its Horse Blessings – Bai Sun Ceremony, bringing together traditional culture, community spirit, and island hospitality.
The ceremony was held at the hotel’s main entrance and was led by Taoist masters from A-Ma Cultural Village.
According to the resort, guests witnessed the symbolic ritual, followed by a traditional Lo Hei prosperity toss accompanied by guzheng music and festive firecracker displays, welcoming good fortune and new beginnings.
Festive decorations were also showcased throughout the resort, including a seasonal lobby installation featuring hand-painted bamboo motifs symbolising resilience and growth.
General manager Christian Buggelsheim said the ceremony reflects the resort’s commitment to preserving cultural traditions while providing a welcoming space for families and friends to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
The resort is also offering a series of seasonal dining experiences at Kwun Hoi Heen Chinese Restaurant, Café Panorama, and Panorama Lounge. A Springtime Getaway flash sale is available for stays through July 31. Reservations are open until February 28.
