This month, W Macau ñ Studio City blends incredible music with unforgettable local and global mixology delights. At Blind Tiger, esteemed global mixologists will showcase their craft against different creations from the hotel’s Head Mixologist, Samio Choi, delivering ingenuity with local twists and a fusion of flavour and techniques from around the world. During even-numbered months, Living Room will shine the spotlight on emerging local mixologists, as well as W Macau – Studio City’s very own skilled team of mixologists, offering innovative creations that celebrate Macau’s vibrant cocktail culture, and serving as a platform to showcase the exceptional talents of the city’s beverage industry.

Today and tomorrow at 9PM, Blind Tiger will be hosting an exclusive event ‘Blind Tiger X Plantation Rum – MIXO Night’, where Samio will be joined by guest mixologist, Christyne Lee to craft exclusive cocktails infused with the rich flavors of Plantation Rum. Christyne is the Head Bartender of Singapore’s Tess Bar & Kitchen and one of today’s most accomplished female mixologists.  With a knack for creating crowd-pleasing classics with a modern interpretation, Christyne has garnered many achievements including the World Gourmet Summit Singapore Mixologist of the Year in 2022, and she has also won The Naked Grouse Cocktail Challenge in 2019.

At the ‘Blind Tiger X Plantation Rum – MIXO Night’, Christyne will present exclusive botanically inspired cocktails such as MYSTIC AURORA, which incorporates Plantation Pineapple Rum, lavender cordial, yuzu juice and soda water, and CORAL BLOSSOM, which is a blend of Plantation 3 Stars Rum, sake, cherry blossom cordial, elderflower liqueur, and lemon juice. Contrastingly, Samio will be serving drinks inspired by the concept of ‘behind the kitchen’. His exclusive menu will include drinks like FORMOSA MEMORY, which is a blend of Plantation 5 Year Barbados Rum, honey herbal jelly liqueur, skinless chili pepper extract, oriental beauty tea, and micro bubbles, as well as ANTI – HOT AND SOUR which is a Plantation pineapple rum based drink with the flavors of passionfruit, yuzu, wine vinegar, pepper, and hellfire bitter. Setting the tone and bringing guests together during this two-night event will be local guest DJ ZIYANG, with exclusively curated sets that deliver a unique blend of sound.
