The health centers located at Tap Seac Square and Ocean Gardens will be closing each night at 10 p.m. from July 20. The announcement was made yesterday afternoon by the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Alexis Tam. The revamp was made possible after the hiring of ten new staff members, including a physician, a nurse and a pharmacist.
Grand Prix organizer to change
The Sport Development Board will take over organizing the Macau Grand Prix in 2016, according to Radio Macau. The motorsport race is currently organized by the city’s Grand Prix Committee, headed by João Manuel Costa Antunes. The Coordinator of the Grand Prix, who formerly presided over the Macau Government Tourist Office, is expected to continue to lead GP preparations this year alongside the GP deputy coordinator Davina Chu. However, Ms Chu was recently appointed as a full-time member of the Cultural Industries Fund.
