Joint meeting to be held in Macau

The 20th EU-Macau Joint Committee meeting will be held in the MSAR before the end of this year, the head of the EU Office in Hong Kong and Macau, Mr Vincent Piket, told newspaper Plataforma. Mr Piket traveled to Macau on January 29 to give a talk on “The EU’s new leadership: What’s on the agenda in 2015?”, as organized by the European Union Academic Program in Macau. Mr Piket also met with government representatives in Macau to discuss trade, investment, policy and furthering cooperation – matters on the agenda for both regions. The head of the EU Office in Hong Kong and Macau said that enhancing cooperation between the European Union member states and Macau could help diversify the MSAR’s economy.
