A delegation led by Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Yao Jian, visited Sands China’s company office yesterday, and was warmly received by company president Dr. Wilfred Wong and other senior executives.
Both parties exchanged views and ideas on how to support anti-pandemic efforts, as well as on how to revive Macau’s economy.
According to a Sands China statement, Yao acknowledged the contributions made by the gaming operator amid the Covid-19 pandemic. While there, the delegation presented a certificate of appreciation to Sands China, and expressed its hopes that the company will continue to cooperate with the SAR government in its virus prevention and economic recovery work, while at the same time strengthening the patriotic spirit of its team members.
“As a company rooted in MacaU, Sands China considers it our privilege and duty to help the mainland and Macau persevere through the challenges brought on by the current pandemic,” said Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd.
