Local businesses offered 80% booth fee discount for 31st MIF

The 31st Macao International Trade & Investment Fair (MIF) has opened applications for the “Macao Local Enterprise Sales Area,” offering local businesses an 80% discount on booth fees to help them expand into new markets such as mainland China, Portuguese-speaking countries, and Spanish-speaking countries.

The fair will take place from October 21 to 24 at the Venetian Cotai Expo.

The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) announced that the exhibition area is accepting applications in four major product categories: smart home devices, daily necessities, food and beverages, and cultural and creative products.

The organizing committee is offering eligible enterprises an 80% discount from the original booth fee, meaning they can participate for just MOP2,700 instead of the full price.

The move is designed to help local companies use the exhibition platform to explore business opportunities abroad while also supporting their transformation and upgrading.

Priority will be given to enterprises that hold the “M-Mark” product quality certification, are classified as “Made in Macao,” act as agents for Portuguese-speaking country products, or are already established in the IPIM pavilion or the Portuguese-speaking Countries Product Exhibition Centre.

These priority criteria are intended to reward businesses that have already demonstrated quality standards or are actively involved in promoting products from Portuguese-speaking markets.

This year’s MIF carries the theme of “Business Connecting Macao, Connecting the World” and introduces new elements focused on Spanish-speaking markets.

The fair will be held simultaneously with the “2026 Portuguese-Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macau)” (2026PLPEX) and the “Macau International Brand Franchise Chain Exhibition 2026” (2026MFE), creating a joint platform where three major exhibitions run side by side at the same venue.

This three-exhibition synergy is intended to strengthen Macau’s role as a “precise connector” between China and both Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking countries.

Organizers say the integrated approach will help local enterprises expand globally more efficiently while also supporting the high-quality development of key industries in Macau.
