Local woman loses MOP50,000 in impersonation scam

A local woman has fallen victim to a scam involving criminals posing as mainland public security officials, losing MOP50,000. Judiciary Police said the victim received a call on Wednesday from someone claiming to be a mainland police officer, alleging her phone was linked to fraud cases. The scammers instructed her to share her screen and delete mobile applications, during which she entered personal information. She later received a bank alert showing MOP50,000 had been transferred from her account.
