Corporate Bits | Macau Cable TV awards 10 winners during fifa World Cup

1 photo_20140727Macau Cable TV launched a quiz during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, with prizes for guessing the winning teams of the matches. The ten participants that guessed correctly on the most winning teams received prizes like smartphones and cameras. The company also awarded sport coupons or football uniforms to over 80 participants. Even after the World Cup has finished, the public can still call 6688 3005 and join the interactive phone quiz for the chance to win weekly awards.

The duo “Alan & Hacken,” comprising Hong Kong music legend Alan Tam and Cantopop superstar Hacken Lee, played at the Cotai Arena at The Venetian Macao on Saturday. They performed their “Suncity Group presents Alan & Hacken 10th Anniversary Live in Macau 2014” concert, celebrating the duo’s tenth anniversary with fans.
Having last performed at The Venetian Macao for the New Year’s Eve 2014 countdown event, the duo returned to the integrated resort with a rousing performance, enthralling the appreciative crowd for the entire evening with their classic hits, including “Root of Love,” “Flying Flower,” and “Day Dreaming.”
First collaborating in 2003, the duo of “Alan & Hacken” has performed over 100 concerts around the world, in countries including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Australia, the United States, Canada, and several nations in Southeast Asia.

General Motors Co. and its main Chinese partner are recalling nearly 20,000 imported Cadillac SRX sport utility vehicles and Chevrolet Camaros to replace defective seat bolts.GM said Friday the defect might allow seats to descend to their lowest position, possibly causing a safety hazard. The company did not say how many of each type of vehicle were being recalled. In total it is recalling 19,836 vehicles.This is GM’s third recall in China in 14 months. In December, the company and its main Chinese partner recalled 1.5 million vehicles to replace a fuel pump bracket. In May 2013, they recalled imported SRX sport utility vehicles to adjust nuts on wheels.
