The closing ceremony of “InFLUXUS 2014 – Creative Dialogues” will take place at 6.30pm tonight at Macau Creative – Centre for Creative Industries.
Some of the highlights of the ceremony include artworks by Peng Yun and Ieong Man Pan, who were specially commissioned by BABEL, the promoter of InFLUXUS 2014.
Moreover, the ceremony will include the screening of three short experimental films created by the 12 students from Beijing, Macau, Hong Kong, Lisbon and Porto who participated in an annual international exchange program. Participants will also be able to view a documentary portraying the creative processes of the productions, signed by the Inner Harbour Films.
InFLUXUS 2014 kicked off on August 20 and involved students, artists, curators and film directors from Beijing, Macau, Hong Kong, Lisbon, and Porto, in a shared process of intercultural and creative learning.
This year’s highlight was the presence of visiting curators from the foremost Portuguese contemporary art museums, namely the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Modern Art Centre and the Berardo Collection Museum, who shared their thoughts on how contemporary artists have explored the idea of “Memory and Archive”, which was the theme of InFLUXUS 2014.
