Macau-Hong Kong taxi quotas extended to 2028

The governments of Macau and Hong Kong have agreed to extend for three more years the operation of taxi quotas on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, allowing Macau’s 40 allocated taxis to continue service until 2028. Authorities are also reviewing the possibility of increasing the number of cross-border taxis to improve passenger access. The move comes after nearly three years of suspended operations during the pandemic. The service remains available by prior booking, facilitating travel between the two regions.
