Macau named best destination for annual meetings at APCAC awards

Macau was named the “Best Destination for Annual Meetings” at the Asia-Pacific Corporate Annual Conference Expo (APCAC) Annual Meeting Awards, held during the inaugural APCAC Expo in Shenzhen from May 15 to 16.

Organized by TTG Asia Media, the APCAC Expo brought together around 100 organizations from diverse sectors including investment, technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, logistics, finance, tourism, and consulting. Participants voted on award recipients based on each destination’s appeal and capacity to host large-scale corporate events.

The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) showcased the city’s strengths in hosting corporate annual meetings and highlighted the innovative “MICE² Macau x Hengqin” initiative. The “Multi-venue Event” model, which integrates flexible facility options across Macau and Hengqin, was promoted to annual meeting clients to support the city’s “attracting exhibitions and conventions” strategy.

In a press release, IPIM stated that following the presentation, several annual meeting buyers expressed immediate interest in choosing Macau as a venue for future events.

This accolade follows Macau’s earlier recognition in April as a “Brilliant Star” MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Outstanding Destination.
