Macau will host over 20 major sporting events this year, Sports Bureau director Luís Gomes announced at the “Walking with the Champions” sharing session on Sunday. Events like the Macau Grand Prix and Macau International Marathon aim to strengthen the city’s sports-tourism integration and boost economic diversification. Several lawmakers have previously raised concerns about the recent bid to transform Macau into a city renowned for hosting sports events and performances.
