A 60-year-old mainland man allegedly misappropriated RMB4 million in a car import scheme. He promised to help transport three U.S. vehicles to mainland China but delayed the process with excuses. After two cars arrived in Macau, he registered them under different plates to deceive the victim. The third vehicle remained in Hong Kong. The suspect was caught entering Macau on April 28 and admitted to misusing the funds, saying he could no longer pay for the vehicles’ expenses.
