The 21st Session of the UNWTO General Assembly is being held at Medellín, the second largest city in Colombia, from September 12-17. Macau is being represented by the deputy director of the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), Cheng Wai Tong, who will attend the assembly and the related activities.
Cable TV compensation paid
The government said that it respects a court verdict and has already paid MOP200 million in compensation to Macau Cable TV. In July, the Court of Second Instance confirmed the ruling of the Administrative Court, as the authorities were found to have failed in carrying out their duties to prevent public antenna firms from retransmitting copyright-protected TV signals.
