Midfielder Paulinho joins Guangzhou from Spurs

Brazil midfielder Paulinho has left Tottenham to join Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande for 14 million euros (USD15.5 million), ending a frustrating two-year spell at the Premier League team.
Guangzhou said yesterday that Paulinho has signed a four-year deal. Tottenham hasn’t confirmed the transfer.
The 26-year-old Paulinho joined Spurs from Corinthians in 2013, for 20 million euros (then $26 million) — a club-record transfer fee at the time — but failed to make an impact and lost his first-team place under Mauricio Pochettino last season. Guangzhou is managed by former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
