The Macau Federation of Trade Unions (MFTU) and Melco Resorts & Entertainment collaboratively launched the Melco Colleagues’ Book House initiative, marking the first time a mobile book house has been established within an integrated resort.
MFTU president Ho Sut Heng said the book houses aim to promote reading habits.
“With Melco having more than 16,000 employees, we believe that through this cooperation, more employees in Macau will participate in reading activities and form a habit of reading,” said Ho.
Meanwhile, Melco chairmand and CEO Lawrence Ho said in his speech that Melco is pleased to be the first integrated resort operator in Macau to jointly organize a mobile book house with the MFTU “to meet colleagues’ needs for self-improvement and national education.”
The book houses located at Melco properties offer various books on literature, history and the development of China.
