Mosquito control stepped up, bottled water safety monitored

The Municipal Affairs Bureau has increased mosquito control at markets, hawker areas, and parks from twice to three times monthly starting July, with additional inspections targeting stagnant water. The bureau noted frequency may rise further based on site conditions. Idle land is handled by other departments, with support from the bureau if needed. At a Municipal Advisory Council meeting, officials assured the public that all bottled water sold locally undergoes regular safety checks, while 2025 work plan progress reached 49.48% by June.
