Three local women were hospitalized early yesterday morning following suspected drug overdoses, police said. Reports of dizzy women came in between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. from homes on Av. do Conselheiro Borja and R. Sul do Patane, according to authorities. Police officers and firefighters responded to find the women, aged 18 to 36, in need of medical assistance. Two showed signs of excessive sleeping pill consumption while another was suspected of an overdose of psychiatric medication, officials said. All three were transported to Conde S. Januario for treatment. The specific drugs and causes remain under investigation, police noted.
