Music | Yujun Wang brings dual shows to town
Taiwanese female singer-song-
writer Yujun Wang is making her way to Macau this week for a rare show. She will be a special guest performer at 8 p.m. tomorrow night at the “Pin-to Musica” bookstore, near Senado Square.
The concert, informally titled “Play What She Wants,” will see the Taiwanese artist showcase some of her freshest tracks in an intimate setting.
Yujun Wang will first perform tonight at the Central Library before her second show at “Pin-to Musica” tomorrow night. Organizers of the event are informally calling it an “encore” show.
The singer-songwriter explores the boundaries between the many performance arts – from music and dance, to theatre, film and literature. Her shows in Macau are part of an effort to promote reading and highlight the book collection at the library.
Her released albums include a concept EP,“Concave” (2009), a concept album titled“The Tracks on the Beach” (2011), and “Abandoned Garden” (2014).
Interested parties are advised to arrive early due to limited floor space. The event page says that entry is “pay what you want.”
