In coordination with a series of activities for the Exhibition on National Security Education, the Transport Bureau (DSAT) has announced a series of temporary adjustments to traffic flow, parking arrangements, and bus routes.

On the evenings of April 15 and 18, Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen and Rua da Torre in Macau will implement temporary phased traffic control measures.

During the road closure on Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen (April 15, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.), vehicles traveling from the Science Centre Roundabout towards Sai Van Lake Square should take a detour.

Drivers should follow the road tunnel to the Barra Transport Hub, make a U-turn and continue, or alternatively circulate through Ferreira do Amaral Square and the Nam Van area.

Vehicles traveling from Avenida Dr. Stanley Ho towards the Science Centre Roundabout are advised to enter Rua do Lago Sai Van, then Rua 25 de Abril, and then access Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen to continue their journey.

Regarding bus routes, between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. on April 15 and between 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. on April 18, several routes passing through the affected area will need to detour and temporarily adjust their stops.

Among the bus stops affected are those at Legislative Assembly Square, the Court of First Instance Criminal Court Building, and Macau Tower.

On April 18, between 9:15 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., a special service for route 26 (26S) will be added to help disperse passenger traffic..

Among the measures to be implemented around the Nam Van and Sai Van areas is a motorcycle parking ban (April 17, 12 p.m. to April 18, 10:15 p.m.) on Rua do Lago Sai Van. The same applies to street parking, effective from April 17, 6 p.m. to April 18, 10:15 p.m.

These restrictions are being implemented to allow for the installation of temporary bus stops at Rua do Lago Sai Van and a section of Sai Van Lake Square between Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen and Macau Tower Square, among other locations.
