Pop star Leon Lai returns to Melco Residency Concerts
Pop star Leon Lai has announced his return to the Melco Residency Concert Series at the Studio City Event Center in May. Lai will perform 10 shows as part of “Leon Lai Stage on 8 2024,” now in its second season.
The concerts are presented exclusively by Melco Style. Kevin Benning, Melco senior vice president and property general manager of Studio City, said the concerts have become a sought-after entertainment spectacle in Asia. Last year, Lai delighted fans with his greatest hits in a new stage production.
Inspired by Studio City’s iconic Golden Reel, a figure-8 Ferris wheel attraction, Lai created the concert series’ name and theme exclusively for Melco. Of the return series, Lai said the name represents the exclusivity created for Melco. He looks forward to unveiling “Melco exclusive surprises” and reuniting with fans from across Asia to connect through music.
